THE CREATIVE PROJECT " VALERY GERGIEV CENTERS OF ARTS FOR YOUNG TALENTS OF RUSSIA" IS A LARGE – SCALE CHARITABLE OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE OF VALERY GERGIEV, THE MARIINSKY THEATRE, FACULTY OF ARTS, ST. PETERSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY. THE PROJECT OPERATES WITH THE SUPPORT OF RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF CULTURE WITHIN THE FEDERAL PROGRAMME "KULTURA RUSSIA".
THE CREATIVE PROJECT "VALERY GERGIEV CENTERS OF ARTS FOR YOUNG TALENTS OF RUSSIA" HELD A MASTER CLASS IN "THE NOVGOROD PRINTING WORK-SHOP"
The aim of the project is the preservation of cultural heritage, the development of the education system in the sphere of culture and art in the regions, identification and support of young talents. In addition to workshops for students, the project held workshops and panel discussions aimed at raising the level of professional training of specialists in secondary and higher educational institutions. Geographically, the project covers the European part of Russia, Ural and Siberia. The project started in 2013 in Khanty-Mansiysk and Surgut, Tyumen and Yekaterinburg, where they had workshops in the field of "Choral and Symphony conducting", "Symphony music", "Vocal art", "Design", "painting and watercolor", which was attended by over five hundred young musicians and artists. In 2014 the project took place in Vologda and St. Petersburg. Here, leading artists of the Mariinsky theatre conducted master-classes for pupils of children's music schools and art schools.
In 2015, the project takes place in three stages. The first took place in Petrozavodsk. Young Karelian musicians were held lessons in four areas: "Violin", "Vocal", "Choral music" and "Piano". The second phase of the project was held in Velikiy Novgorod from 8 to 23 October, where they had master classes in graphic design and painting, but also piano, violin and choral singing.
Master-class "Author techniques in manual and printed graphics" for students of art departments of the Novgorod Art College. Rachmaninoff was held on 22-23 October in the "Novgorod printing house". Under the guidance of an experienced master, a printer, SPSU teacher of Mikhail Aleksandrovich of Gorodets students got acquainted with printed circuit technology "Engraving on cardboard", has developed an outline of future engravings, performed the printing plate and obtained prints.
The third phase of the project will take place in St. Petersburg in November–December. Music and art part of the project will conclude with an exhibition and a concert at the Mariinsky theatre on 5 December 2015.
