In a previous publication, we described how color geometrical bodies can affect their visual perception is to emphasize the shape of the volume, or to corrupt and destroy it; how can one select the cube structure (edges, sides, angles), or by painting on geometric nets, shapes and forms, its components. In works that we will speak today, we use volumetric shapes as carriers of information. This can be a type of packaging, exhibition or advertising module, the project of a souvenir or art object.
During the quest "the Cube-idea" guys figure out how to get an interesting and unusual object, a cube is glued on by a variety of materials. In one case, the use of various printed products newspaper, magazine clippings, postage stamps, tickets, Wallpaper, geographical maps... In another case - a variety of small objects: matches, buttons, keys, buttons or natural materials (cereals, seeds, shells, feathers...) - here the fantasy is unlimited! You can create a terrain of homogeneous objects, a complex collage of different components, selected on a specific topic. This assignment gives more freedom in the interpretation of the works to the teacher and in performance to children.
In the following two works, kids learn how color and graphics can evoke a variety of associations, feelings, sensations, to attract attention, to report certain information. In the design of the volumes is used as an illustrative-graphic graphics, and abstract compositions. In the "Scope and Association" we go from the image - because, what the reaction of the audience, what associations we want to call. We make hand drawing, applique, cutting of individual elements. In the task "Texture and Meaning" begin with an examination of techniques, tools and materials for creating a variety of textures. Use different art materials: ink, watercolor, gouache, tempera, and water-based printing ink. Experiment and fantasize - spray, pour, pour paint, use the fingerprint of materials with different properties and qualities. After collecting the cube, trying to understand, feel what information it carries, which may mean, what may be its contents, looking for an appropriate title and add to the image text.
There are many varieties in the next job "the Cube-image". For example, can turn the cube or other simple geometric object in the plant or flower, fruit or vegetable, insect, bird or other animal, a person, or some fictional creature. In other cases, it may be something abstract, an image of a natural phenomenon (hurricane, rainbow...) or environment (city, forest, sea...) or something completely unexpected and fantastic. Use the entire range of previously learnt techniques to create expressive and figurative object.
